  That&#39;s weird because the e-mails are forwarded from a government &lt;br&gt; laboratory and three well-known universities that are not likely to be &lt;br&gt; blacklisted. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;There&#39;s something seriously weird with my gmail service that must &lt;br&gt; originate in their servers because I have trouble with gmail on two &lt;br&gt; separate computers and on my iPhone, so it cannot just be a browser

  What probably happened is that the reputation of the server doing the &lt;br&gt; forwarding took a hit. Perhaps it was abused by spammers in some way. &lt;br&gt; This then makes it much more likely that mail forwarded from that &lt;br&gt; server will be marked as spam by gmail. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;I don&#39;t really have a specific solution for you. You can use a filter

I have other addresses listed for various reasons, some &lt;br&gt; yahoo accounts and mac accounts, but not my work account, which is a &lt;br&gt; wholly different domain. This is indeed very mysterious.

  Here&#39;s one thats even better. I have a yahoo address that I use for &lt;br&gt; foolishness and the like so that I won&#39;t get overloaded with spam in &lt;br&gt; my personal Gmail box. I have the spam filter turned off so that I can &lt;br&gt; mark them as such directly from my inbox. Low and behold, I hardly &lt;br&gt; ever get any junk delivered there like the few a day I get with Gmail.
